Please read the article before judging anyone.
The AMBER system in California is messed up. It will send this message to anyone in the state, even if it’s not their area. California is almost the length of the populated portion of the eastern seaboard (Boston – Atlanta).
The point is that until California understands how to target these, they are not only useless for people outside the AMBER alert area, they can cause issues, and overload the AMBER system with calls from people who couldn’t have even been near the kid.
Should people in Atlanta get AMBER alerts from Boston?
